The Auto Loop feature in FakeSignup lets you batch create test accounts without constant manual intervention. You configure the loop once, and it handles filling forms, submitting, receiving verification codes, and saving account details automatically. This is ideal for generating large sets of test data for performance testing, load testing, or regression testing where you need many distinct user profiles.

Setting Up Auto Loop for Batch Create Test Accounts

To use Auto Loop, you first need to have the FakeSignup extension installed and open. The extension provides a side panel where you can manage configurations. For Auto Loop, you'll be defining a sequence of actions that the extension will repeat. This sequence typically involves navigating to a signup page, filling out the form with generated data, submitting it, and then checking the FakeSignup inbox for the verification code.

The core of Auto Loop is defining the input fields for the form, the submission button, and the email verification step. You can specify how many times the loop should run, or let it run indefinitely until you stop it. The extension generates unique data for each iteration, ensuring each test account is distinct.

Configuring Your Loop Parameters

When you activate Auto Loop, a configuration panel appears within the FakeSignup extension. Here’s a breakdown of the essential settings:

  1. Target URL: Enter the URL of the signup page you want to automate.
  2. Form Fields:
    • Identify each input field on the form (e.g., email, password, username).
    • For each field, select the type of data to be generated: random string, sequential number, email address, password, or custom text.
    • You can also map fields to specific values if needed, though Auto Loop primarily focuses on generating unique data per iteration.
  3. Submit Button: Select the HTML element that triggers the form submission.
  4. Verification Email:
    • Specify a keyword or CSS selector to identify the verification email in the FakeSignup inbox. This helps the extension locate the correct email containing the OTP or verification link.
    • Define how the OTP or link should be extracted. This could be a regex pattern for OTPs or a specific attribute from a link element.
  5. Loop Count: Set the number of accounts to create. You can set a specific number or leave it open-ended to run until manually stopped.
  6. Save Account: Choose whether to save the generated email and password for each account. These will be stored locally in your browser.

The Auto Loop Execution Process

Once configured, you initiate the Auto Loop. The extension will then:

  1. Open Tab: Open a new tab to the Target URL.
  2. Fill Form: Populate the identified form fields with generated data based on your configuration.
  3. Submit Form: Click the designated submit button.
  4. Monitor Inbox: Continuously check the FakeSignup inbox for the verification email.
  5. Extract Code/Link: Once the email arrives, it extracts the One-Time Password (OTP) or verification link using your specified method.
  6. Complete Verification:
    • If an OTP is extracted, it will be entered into the verification field on the page.
    • If a verification link is found, the extension will navigate to it.
  7. Save Data (Optional): If enabled, the generated username, email, and password for the successful account are saved to your browser's local storage.
  8. Repeat: The process repeats for the specified number of loops, or until you stop it.

This automation significantly speeds up the process of batch create test accounts, especially for scenarios requiring many unique user credentials.

Installation and Initial Setup

If you haven't already, install the FakeSignup extension. You can find it on the Chrome Web Store: FakeSignup on the Chrome Web Store.

After installation, open the extension from your browser toolbar. You'll see the main interface, including the temporary email inbox. Navigate to the "Auto Loop" tab or section within the extension to begin configuring your automated signup process.

Managing Saved Accounts and Data

When you enable the "Save Account" option in Auto Loop, the generated credentials for each successfully created and verified account are stored. This data is saved locally within your Chrome browser's storage for the FakeSignup extension. You can access this list of saved accounts directly from the extension's interface. This is useful for quickly retrieving credentials for accounts you've previously created for testing purposes, avoiding the need to re-run the loop or manually recreate them.

The saved data typically includes the email address, the generated password, and potentially a timestamp of creation. This allows you to manage your test accounts effectively and reuse them across different testing cycles.
